Basrah Museum Reception

The British Institute for the Study of Iraq and the Friends of Basrah Museum 

had great pleasure in organising a reception celebrating the completion of the new 

Basrah Museum.


On Tuesday 21 January 2020


The Basrah Museum project was funded by the UK’s Cultural Protection Fund, managed by the British Council. The initial CPF grant was awarded in December 2016 and the project work was completed in January 2020. The British Institute for the Study of Iraq are donating their library to the Basrah Museum Library.
